Erdal Inci’s Mesmerizing Cloned Motion GIFs

Interest in a post on the GIF-laden Cephalopodoptera art  compelled me to post the mesmerizing work of Turkish multidisciplinary artist Erdal Inci.  He’s a master of the cloned motion version. (The silly, one-dimensional GIFs that are endlessly reblogged are so irritating, but I give credit to their originators for at least working away at them.)  Inci’s work is unique.  That’s him on The Kamondo Stairs, Istanbul above and in most of the others below.

Inci has been working in cloned motion video since 2004 but has only recently put GIF versions online.

  1. These are great! My favorites are the third one with the man running across the rocky hills and the fifth one on the beach swinging something around. Neato!

Something to say?
