You, Me & The Mouse on the Moon

California artist Souther Salazar’s densely layered universes are on exhibit at Narwhal Projects in a show called You and Me (and the Mouse in the Moon), his first solo exhibition at the Toronto gallery.

Salazar works in painting, drawing, sculpture and animation in a style that encourages dreaming. Many of the works in this post were produced for Scope Basel, from the artist’s website or his Facebook.

  1. I love this! I’m trying to figure out why. I guess because it evokes feelings of whimsy and it is interesting. It makes me want to just look at the piece and study it because it looks fun, not because I have to dissect anything about it. My favorite is the first one. 🙂
