One of Toronto’s attributes is its endless supply of surprising public art. This one – a glorious suspended stairway – is inside a building at 36 Toronto Street downtown, created by sculptor Joshua Kalfa. It’s easy to revel in his artistry and the amazing construction of the work.
The giant women climbing and the staircase itself (which is suspended in the atrium) are bronze.

Beautiful, I absolutely love the people he has sitting on benches. He was clever in adding open spaces in the sculpture, so we see greenery through/behind the sculpture. They blend right in with nature, which was his goal. Lovely.
Yes, I have never seen one of his benches live, but would love to!
