If you know Montreal, this mixed media image may be confusing. Rightly so. Denise Buisman Pilger (aka Artist Abroad) created it as the centrepiece of a series called Discoveries Montreal. It contains at least one building from every borough on the island.
Here is Mont-Royal. Go here for all the Montreal works.
Montreal: Mixed Media on Wood, 36″ x 36” | 92 cm x 92 cm
Mont-Royal: Mixed Media on Wood, 18″ x 18” | 45.5 cm x 45.5 cm
Denise Buisman Pilger combines image transfer, acrylic paints and mediums to create mixed media scenes that capture the essence of her memories and reconnect her audience to precious moments in time. She has lived in Fort Worth, TX, Montréal, and Nagoya, Japan – capturing scenes in each place.

This is really so interesting. I just went to her website. I like her art. Thanks for sharing.
I am fascinated by her technique, so creative. And certainly sheds a new light on Montreal (and other locations around the world)
