Canadian painter Kathryn Macnaughton is an international rising star. Her path went solid with frequent exhibitions in the last couple of years, including solo shows in Bologna, Italy, Mallorca Spain and multiple shows in London, England, and Toronto.
The Toronto-born Macnaughton lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal, represented and exhibited by Beers London and Bau-Xi Toronto, where she has yet another solo show this spring (details here).
She encourage curiosity with her abstract works, which are inspired by a range of mediums from collage to cutouts, vintage palettes to digital illustration, all evident in her large-scale pieces.
Her London gallery describes her work as a deftly interwoven combination of figurative painting, abstract expressionism, geometric abstraction, “and even conventions of the painted still-life into one poetic statement.”
A graduate of OCAD University, Macnaughton has been exhibiting in Canada and abroad since 2010.

Amazing! How wonderful for her.
Kathryn’s art (what I see here) feels uplifting, positive.
It’s easy to see why people would want her work. I can’t put it into words, except perhaps simply appealing.
