Portrait painter Michal Lukasiewicz explores how bold “patches” of color can create a more contemporary dynamic to his classic, figurative works. Born in Poland, based in Belgium, his acrylic portraiture has been described as high Renaissance blended with Pop art.
He says his paintings “are of the human form, the soft tenderness that it can transfer to the viewer; never the anger of the world but the peace and harmony that humans are capable of.”

Stunning
So glad you enjoyed.
The poses are modern as well.
Can’t pinpoint why, but I really like these!
I like them because of the juxtaposition of the bright, modern colors against the traditional, subdued Renaissance style skin.
