These unique, limited edition screenprints are often described as ‘Nostalgic Futurism.’
They are the work of Maxine Gregson, whose collaged, hand-pulled prints are a union of vintage motifs and futuristic compositions.
Gregson, based in the U.K., combines typography, photography, grid layering and nostalgic imagery to create the intriguing artworks and prints.
“Often inspired by lyrics music and literature, I use vintage photographic elements mixed with new imagery and elements to create new realities,” Gregson says. (The print below carries lyrics by Joni Mitchell)
Maxine Gregson is a digital designer, printmaker and contemporary artist whose work shows up both in corporate ad campaigns and in art institutions like the Tate Modern.

Amazing. I was in Intensive Care in 2022 and the work featured entitled Tropical Swim takes me I to the inner mind landscape due to being on a ventilator. Very powerful piece.
That is gorgeous work!
You’re so right. Glad you found it. Thanks for weighing in.
