Campeonato Food Truck, Avilés 2018

The weather is still mild enough where I live to eat comfortably from food trucks for a while yet, such a pleasure. These artists captured the experience, or the vehicle, so well.

From Urban Sketchers, Northampton, Massachusetts – This artist found it a beautiful town for sketching but “unfortunately, by the time I’d finished drawing the truck, they were out of lobster rolls.”

“This is a food truck that is usually located near the Vancouver Art Gallery. Awesome fried chicken,” says artist, Won Kang.

Sketchbook Saturday – Harbors https://canadianartjunkie.com/2023/10/14/sketchbook-saturday-harbors/ https://canadianartjunkie.com/2023/10/14/sketchbook-saturday-harbors/#comments Sat, 14 Oct 2023 13:13:00 +0000 https://canadianartjunkie.com/?p=42245 Sketching by the water, especially while travelling, is inspiring – particularly when there’s a beautiful harbor in sight.

Carriacou Harbor, where artist Trisha Ray and party stopped by dinghy for ice and supplies while sailing. It’s an island just off Grenada in the eastern Caribbean.

Sketchbook Saturday – Fall https://canadianartjunkie.com/2023/10/07/sketchbook-saturday-fall/ https://canadianartjunkie.com/2023/10/07/sketchbook-saturday-fall/#comments Sat, 07 Oct 2023 13:51:06 +0000 https://canadianartjunkie.com/?p=42209 It’s Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and (sadly), it’s also the end of incredibly hot weather here in central Canada. These wonderful sketches by Ema Malyauka, a children’s book illustrator in Amsterdam, seemed a perfect choice for the transition into full fall.
