Toronto mixed-media artist David Fredrik Moussallem is inspired by vintage signage, graffiti, abandoned scrap yards and erosion in collaged paintings that reflect the imperfect surroundings of urban life. Born in Lahti, Finland, and raised all over the world, his background is advertising & graphic design – training that has influenced his works. “Much like working digitally, I consider every layer to be an integral part of the overall vision,” he says in his artist statement.
