Kudos to Remai Modern, the Saskatchewan art museum that houses the world’s most comprehensive collection of linocuts by Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). The Saskatoon holdings have come to wide public attention this year, as 2023 is labelled the Year of Picasso for the 50th anniversary of the artist’s death.
The linocut collection is complemented by a select collection of ceramic works – all of them executed in the last 25 years of Picasso’s life. The ceramics are on exhibition through January 28, 2024, in an installation that includes a working studio for visitors to experiment.

Unexpected, in so many wonderful ways!
Yes, I agree. I was so surprised to learn about the holdings of Remai Modern. I always feel happy when a realization like that hits, even after so many years of learning/blogging about Canadian art.
