Vincent Giarrano’s realist paintings center on New York City, which he says he finds inspiring. Well known in the comics industry, he also was an illustrator for popular publications before turning to scenes in oil.
“I see painting as a way to appreciate what is all around us, stuff we take for granted or don’t notice,” he says. Giarrano’s popularity has been rising for the last few years, especially his scenes of trendy Soho.
