Swedish artist Rebecka Hallbert charges ordinary scenes with such extraordinary colors, they seem to vibrate. She says she colors her photographs (with chalk and watercolor) to both highlight and hide the original, and to “improve a memory, fill it with magic.”

Psychedelic!
Absolutely!
At first I thought it was done with photography software, but I like it more knowing she actually colored on them.
I had exactly the same reaction. All the material on her is in Swedish, and until I got it translated, I didn’t realize, either, that she hand-colors them.
OMG! I love the shoes! Rebecka Hallbert’s style is incredibly appealing
Yeah, those shoes really do it, don’t they.
