Since I last posted about the exquisite porcelain works of Zemer Peled (here) she has created the series In Eden, 2018 (above). Her work is formed of thousands of shards of handcrafted porcelain, constructed into sculptures and installations.
Born and raised in a Kibbutz in northern Israel, she completed her BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (Jerusalem) and earned her MA at the Royal College of Art (UK). Her work examines the beauty and brutality of the natural world.
In recent years, her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including Sotheby & and Saatchi Gallery (London), Nelson Atkins Museum of Art (Kansas City) among others. She has been featured in Vogue, O Magazine, Elle and other international publications.
Her work is found in many private collections around the world and Museum Collections such as Fuller Craft Museum, Crocker Art Museum and Frederick R Weisman Art Foundation.
