Digital photographer Dean West is known for his intricate and highly staged photographs that take everyday occurrences beyond the realm of natural reality.

I’m a bit confused … are they simply digital photographs or are they paintings? They’re fascinating and wonderful in either case, but I can’t tell!
Probably could have been clearer when I wrote it. They’re digital photographs, but the name of the exhibition is “Painted” photographs because of the colors and painterly style.
