Jon Howlett: The Art of Skiing

Fresh Tracks

I  happened to be in ski country  – although not in an area as challenging as Panorama, B.C., where Jon Howlett paints – when I thought of this transplanted British artist’s work.  His hyper-realistic acrylics wonderfully capture the magic of the ski hill, as well as the mountain landscapes of British Columbia. 1. Nope, not just you. And if you look at his full portfolio, you’ll see he does it on a grander scale from time to time, sort of mystically. Good catch!

Something to say?
